Step No 1: Take a good look around you and decide what you would like
to do on the internet. Do you have a special skill, special knowledge on a
hobby, profession, or do you just want to sell products? Make a list
then write that list down again and again until you're satisfied.

Step No 2: Now comes the tedious job of research. Research, you say?
Oh.....Yes. For example: You like dogs, and want to write about dogs. Go
to your favorite browser and type in the word dogs.....What did you
find? That's right 159,000,000 sites for just the general term dogs!

Step No 3: Ok, you've decided what you want to do. Now what?
That depends on your budget and how much time you want to
dedicate to this new venture.

Looking at all the products offered on the internet, where do I begin?
Do I really want to invest in a website at this time? I just want to stick
my little toe in the water for a test and with the least investment
possible! There is a way.......Listen closely..........and take notes!

The best way to stick your toe in the water with basically no investment
except for your imagination is to start a blog and add products that
compliment your subject. Yes, this also takes time, but if you are
serious about entering the world of internet marketing, that's what you
have to do! There are a lot of free blogs you can start with, you just
have to pick one that suits your tastes.

The important thing is not get in information overload. That will be the
death of you. Use the "kiss principle"...keep it simple stupid!

There's also a site called Squidoo. It's kool,free and gives you lots of
options and tools to use. The important thing is.... it's easy to use. You
don' t have to be a computer genius to make a squidoo lens and make
money with it! I did it.... and my squidoo lens is also in the top ten on the
search engines.

No need to burn the midnight coffee. Now this site really
rocks with information from
beginner to professional.
Software, articles, ebooks
and more! You start out with a "free" membership and as
you and your website grow, there are various levels of
membership you can upgrade to, depending on your needs.

As I said, I'm not going to overload you with information . It's better
to take in a little at a time.... research the information I've given
you......then you decide what is best for you. The next time we'll get a
little deeper, but in the meantime I'll leave you a few words to
ponder, and some very interesting oportunities to explore.......

Let me give you an example.....I also have a children's website....that's
not easy, believe me.....the time I spend in research is unbelievable, but I
found a great way to research right from my desk top and cut my time
in half! Which, by the way, gives me more time to concentrate on my
rankings on the search engines... SEO, or search engine optimization.
We'll get into that subject later, but with the great tool I've found, my
children's website ranks # 1 out of 6,060,000! Two months ago, you
couldn't even find my web site. Are you getting my point?

Now you won't become a millionaire overnight...that I won't promise
you.......but at least I will give you some tools to work with that are easy,
free or affordable and really work!

The answer is quite simple. When I started out, I signed up for just
about every conceivable offer available. My email box is proof of that.
What did I find? That I got the same offers over and over again from
just about everyone! Excedrin headache 1,000 ! Now there are some
good people out there and some that aren't. I had to sift through it
all to find the ones that I personally thought were good.

If afterwards you find that you really like the internet and want to
develop a website.....then I would recommend that you get a domain
name, a good web hosting company, a simple programme with which you
can create your website without having to know all the technical stuff,
and a simple graphics programme where you can create all those
beautiful photos and let your imagination run wild. I will give you
personal recommendations on these since I've benn through that mill
myself.
